The Envelope Check
No buyer hears your name until your shop passes it. Four criteria, checked against the actual part, not the category:
- The part fits your real machine envelope: tonnage, bed, draw depth, thickness, whatever your process demands. Dimensional maxima are never combined optimistically.
- Your materials and finishing cover what the print calls for, in-house or through your named partners.
- Your quality system fits the buyer's bar, stated plainly: ISO, PPAP capability, whatever the work requires.
- You have said yes to wanting this kind of work. We do not volunteer your floor.
The check runs in software we built, against an envelope you approve. If a part fails it, you never hear about it, and neither does the buyer.
What we look for on the bench
Shops that answer quotes fast and hold their dates. Stamping, deep draw, machining, fabrication, and heavy weldment capacity, mostly Midwest first. ISO or equivalent quality systems help. We keep the bench small on purpose: one strong shop per process lane, added only when we hold verified demand for that lane.
